JANUARY Get Into The Flow

One aspect of happiness is engagement or getting into the flow.  This is the state where you are so in the moment that time seems to fly by where you aren’t aware of what’s going on around you.  One way to get into this state is to participate in your area of strength. 

Finding your signature strengths:

In this month’s challenge participants will be encouraged to identify their signature strengths and practice using them, ideally in the workplace.  Go to https://www.viacharacter.org/ and take the free survey. This will identify your top 5 strengths. Ask yourself if the strength feels authentic, if it gives you excitement, if you have a rapid learning curve when using it, if you have a feeling of inevitability to use it. If you answer “yes” you’ve identified a signature strength!

 January’s Challenge:

This month try to practice each of your top signature strengths

 Beginner level:  practice each of your top strengths once over the course of the month

 Intermediate level:  practice each of your top strengths twice in the month

 Advanced level:  practice one of your top strengths every day for the rest of the month
